KRA Targets Farmers
In its bid to close the gap on hard-to-tax industries, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) recanted its decision to exclude farmers and small businesses with yearly revenue of less than KES. 5 million from producing electronic invoices for their sales to eliminate tax loopholes and increase tax collection. The agricultural sector joins millions of Kenyans dissatisfied with the increasing tax laws.

A Nairobi court orders a woman to pay his mistress 30% of her wealth in a civil court case. The woman and her former lover had been together for 25 years before parting ways. The man brought satisfying evidence showing he helped the woman advance her wealth while the relationship lasted. The court ruled in his favour, stating he has a right to own part of the wealth.
